Past Event

The inaugural conference of the APSHNR was successfully held in Bali, Indonesia, on May 22–23, 2026, marking a historic milestone in the journey of the society. The venue was Hotel Renaissance at Uluwatu, Bali.

The conference was preceded by the first General Assembly on May 21, 2026, during which the APSHNR Executive Committee was formally constituted and the society’s Constitution was officially ratified. The meeting brought together an outstanding international faculty of 58 experts from across the globe, including India, Australia, the United States, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, and several other countries. A total of 126 delegates attended the conference, with nearly 71% of participants coming from Indonesia, reflecting the tremendous enthusiasm and support from the local radiology community.

The opening ceremony began with a welcome address by the Congress President Dr. Salman Qureshi, who introduced the First APSHNR President, Dr. Varsha Joshi, along with the entire Executive Committee to the attendees. In keeping with Indonesian tradition, Dr. Farhan Anwary, the President of Indonesian Society of Neuroradiology, ceremonially struck the gong to officially declare the conference open, creating a memorable and symbolic beginning to the society’s first scientific meeting.

The scientific program featured several highly appreciated collaborative sessions with leading international societies and academic groups, including the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, European Society of Head and Neck Radiology, Asian Oceanian Society of Head and Neck Radiology, Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging, and The Cortex Club. The sessions were exceptionally well received and reflected the spirit of global academic collaboration that APSHNR hopes to foster.

The conference also showcased multiple oral and poster presentations, highlighting the academic talent and research contributions of participants. Awards were presented to the top three entries in the categories of Oral Papers, Scientific Posters, and Educational Posters.

The event was professionally managed by J4U Event Management Company and received generous support from industry partners including United Imaging, Philips, Siemens, GE HealthCare, and INFINITT Healthcare, whose contributions played an important role in the success of the conference.

The Bali meeting not only marked the formal beginning of APSHNR as a society but also laid the foundation for a vibrant future of collaboration, education, research, and friendship in the field of Head and Neck Radiology across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
