Dr. Ann King
Dr Ann King is a head and neck radiologist in Hong Kong, Professor of Radiology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She has over 30 years of research experience in the head and neck, especially MRI of head and neck cancer, including characterisation, staging, treatment response prediction and monitoring, post-treatment neck assessment and functional MRI. She is known for her research in nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) and DWI and has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers. She has been a member of many international scientific committees and interdisciplinary working groups. She received the Gold Medal from the ESHNR in 2025 and the Honorary Membership of the European Society of Radiology in 2026.
She has a lengthy career as an educator, teaching radiology to undergraduate medical students at CUHK and in 2024, as director of the radiology team, received the Faculty Education Award. Dr King was director of training at the Prince of Wales Hospital for 18 years, and an active member of committees in the Hong Kong College of Radiologists for 15 years. In 2024, she received the HKCR Distinguished Contribution Award.
